What the profiles are designed to answer

CompareHCM profiles help a buyer decide which platforms deserve deeper evaluation. They are not certifications, financial advice, or a substitute for a tailored demonstration, written proposal, security review, and contract review.

We do not publish numerical vendor ratings. A single score hides the fact that a strength for one buyer can be irrelevant—or a drawback—for another. Profiles instead explain fit, trade-offs, and the evidence behind material claims.

The six evaluation lenses

• Payroll engine: tax handling, multi-state capability, retro pay, corrections, and complex payroll scenarios.
• Workforce management: time, attendance, scheduling, rules, and fit for hourly or shift-based workforces.
• Usability: the day-to-day experience for administrators, managers, and employees.
• Pricing transparency: published or quote-based pricing, add-ons, recurring fees, and renewal risks.
• Implementation experience: ownership, migration, testing, typical sequencing, and project risk.
• Support model: access paths, account ownership, escalation, and post-launch service structure.

Evidence and sourcing

For current product names and capabilities, we prefer the vendor's official product materials. Each vendor profile links to its official product overview and contact page. We treat vendor materials as primary evidence of what the vendor says it offers—not proof that every module is included in every contract.

Pricing and implementation ranges are labeled as CompareHCM editorial estimates when they are based on market observations rather than a current public vendor price. Buyers should confirm scope, fees, timing, service levels, integrations, and renewal terms in writing with the vendor.

We use visible review dates so readers can judge freshness. Material changes should trigger a profile review; routine dates are not advanced unless the content was actually checked.

Placement and conflicts

Vendors cannot pay for a better position or softer coverage. Directory order is editorial and is not a ranking.
